TheĀ APPG for Ending Homelessness (APPGEH) has launched an inquiry to find out how close the Government is on to meeting its commitment to ending rough sleeping by the end of the Parliament.

The Conservative manifesto states:-

We will also end the blight of rough sleeping by the end of the next Parliament by expanding successful pilots and programmes such as the Rough Sleeping Initiative and Housing First, and working to bring together local services to meet the health and housing needs of people sleeping on the streets.

In some areas, rough sleeping was reduced to zero during the Coronavirus pandemic, as local councils took to the streets to offer additional support.

The inquiry is being led by homelessness charity Crisis and is seeking evidence from homelessness organisations and charities, and individuals.
