The APPG for Smoking and Health has called on the Government to take swift action to prohibit the sale of cigarettes 2030. It has suggested a range of measures, including a mandatory smoke-free fund paid for by cigarette manufacturers, targets for 2025, more Government marketing and e-cigarettes provided on the NHS.

Chief Medical Officer Chris Whitty reminded us recently that there will be more deaths from cigarettes this year than from Coronavirus.
